'There's no glossing over it. This was a bad day at the Office for the Mens 1's.
We were outplayed and outfoxed by a composite Teddington side who were better on the ball and in finishing. TBB had there chances and many circle penetrations but finishing was poor.
The first quarter was fairly even but Teddington opened the score in the 23' when Hall volleyed in a waist high cross. Jackson saved a Penalty corner off the line in 37' with TBB making the counter attack and forcing a double save from the Teddington Goalkeeper. TBB had further attempts from successive penalty corners in the 45', the first saved and the second fluffed. Teddington added their second goal with in the 51' with White deflecting in at the far post. With TBB pressing, Teddington made it 3-0 in the 54' on the counter with Wheeler going 1 v 1 with the Goalkeeper to wrap the game up.
Whereas there were good TBB individual performances, others were less than their usual standard. Players need to inwardly reflect before next week's match away to Oxford Hawks and put this match behind them.
