Team Bath Buccaneers HC are saddened to hear of the passing of Gordon Parratt this week. Gordon was a former longstanding member of the Club right back when it was Bath Civil Service. Gordon was a prolific goal scorer for the club and captained the lower teams towards the end of his career. After his retirement from club hockey Gordon became a Vice President of the Club.
Nick Kendall recalls that when he played his first match for the club he took Gordon’s place in the team despite the fact that Gordon had scored a hattrick the week before, causing quite a stir at the time!
Both his sons David and Philip played for the club into their thirties.
The funeral arrangements will be advertised locally. The provisional date is 17th November, 11.30 at the Crematorium.
The clubs thoughts and prayers are with Gordon’s family at this time.
