There was double delight for Team Bath Buccaneers Hockey Club during the inaugural Y1 Future Championships season winning both the men’s and women’s titles.

A thrilling men’s final saw Buccs hold off a determined challenge from University of Bristol to claim a 4-3 victory. With goals from Team Bath student Sam Mackenzie and England U16 Nags player Jack Webb from a short corner Buccs took the lead in the second half.  They continued to hold firm as Bristol University exerted pressure on the Buccs defence and scored to keep the match alive. Howard (Howie) Silcox

This week the club received the sad news that Howard (Howie) Silcox  died yesterday after long illness. Howard was a founder member of the club and the Fixture Sec in the early days.  At 86 Years old he was one of our elder long serving Vice Presidents.
