The junior section has seen an increase in participation accross all age groups. Aleady we have twenty volunteer parents who will be actively involved in running our vibrant U.8 to U.12 section of the club on Sunday mornings in 2016 to 2017. All of these enthusiastic parents have completed England Hockey ‘engaging children’ courses over 2015 / 2016 run by England Hockey in Bath.

The club is completly committed to ensuring that all our coaches recieve the best tution wether this is at an introductory level or higher. Continuing this training inititive the club is seeking further support from England Hockey by brining EH sessional coaching courses to Bath as well repeating ‘engaging children’ for younger members in the club and running umpire training courses. The club will support any member with the cost of these training programes.

With this in mind, we are seeking individuals who are looking to develop their coaching skills and qualifications as well as taking on coaching roles within the junior U.18, U.16 & U.14 age groups both boys and girls. These are paid roles and require individuals to embrace the new England Hockey philosphies to prepare young players for transition into senior teams.

Part of this approach will be for coaches to attend meetings to ensure that technical skills are being introduced to players as well giving opportunities for ideas to be shared accross coaches.

For more information as to how we can help you to help us prepare for our long term vision for all our players in the club contact Angus Ross (Junior Academy Director) or Heber Ackland (Director of Hockey)
