On Saturday June 20, the Sports Training Village (STV) at the University of Bath opens its doors to members of the public for a taste of what it feels like to compete as an Olympic athlete.

Fun for all the family, our action-packed Communis an opportunity to try new sports; enjoy our outdoor activities which include a rock climbing wall, zip-wire and inflatables; and hearing from physio and sport science specialists – all while making use of our world class facilities.




  • Race an Olympic swimmer in our new London 2012 Legacy Pool
  • Participate in our annual Olympic Day Run (5km adults, 3km U16s)
  • Undergo our Modern Pentathlon Challenge – swimming, running, fencing, riding and pistol (water) shooting

The exciting day will also feature coaching sessions from our team of leading coaches including sessions on tennis, badminton, trampolining, athletic, hockey, rugby and football.

And when you’re worn out from all of the day’s activities, our expert physiotherapists, nutritionists and sport scientists are on-hand to provide guidance, advice and support for sustaining a healthy lifestyle as an athlete.
