When you apply for your child to be registered to the Club, you have an option to not have your child's photos published on the Club website outside the Members only section. This is mainly to prevent people using the website to trace children inappropriately. Please make sure you let us know if you dont want picture of your children published outside the members only section.
In accordance with England Hockey we ask that parents take full responsibility for the welfare of their child to and from the astroturf hockey pitches. If parents allow their child to walk unaccompanied to and from the astroturf pitches through the University complex, that they take full responsibility for their child's well being and safety until they reach the pitches. Due to safeguarding the Club and the Club coaches will only take responsibilty for the children once they are on the astroturf pitches. Coaches will not leave the playing surface to accompany children to the toilets, cafe or to the car park areas.
The Club asks that parents stay near to the astroturf pitches if they have children in their care. Parents must ensure they are available at the beginning and end of each sessions to drop off and collect their child, or if necessary take their children to the toilet.
In accordance with Rule 8.8 of the EH Regulations, it is strongly advised that children wear shin guards and mouthguards (gumshields).
