After last week’s positive performance bringing BUCCS off the bottom of the table the team were ready to put up a fight to win more points against the league’s third place ranked opposition.
The match began with great intensity and some excellent team play was seen from both sides. With BUCCS going into the game with the aim of building and creating attacking opportunities it was positive to see that towards the end of the first half of the game a foot in the Readings defensive D gave BUCCS their first string of short corners. Unfortunately, nothing came from it but gave BUCCS the confidence to finish the first half.
Reading started the second half putting BUCCS under huge amounts of defensive pressure and a lull in concentration saw us conceding a couple of goals one after the other. Although, heads went down BUCCS continued to fight through to the end.
