Bath Buccaneers bounced back well this week with a 4-1 win over ISCA. They went ahead within the first minute of the game, John Sterlini breaking into the D on the right hand side and firing a cross to find Jack Betenson diving at the far post with a superb reverse stick finish. After the first ten minutes however, Isca started to come back into the game and managed to eventually beat goalkeeper Stephen West who had managed to keep Buccs in the game until that point. After some strong words at half time, Buccs came out firing in the second half and scored 2 in quick succession. Mat Ming with a powerful drag flick from the top of the D followed by Matt Boote’s well aimed deflection from Ben Mackey’s pin point pass. Buccs weren’t at their best and Isca had more than enough opportunities to get back into the game but another flick from Ming put the visitors out of reach with 10 minutes to go.
Buccs face two tough fixtures before the Christmas break and will have to play well to hold onto a top 3 spot going into the break, next Sunday they face Fareham at home.
